History Department Open House October 14
The History Department will host an Open House for Prospective History Majors on Thursday, October 14 at the Labyrinth Tent from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Pizza will be served. Come speak learn about the History Major!
Center for Jewish Studies Open House 10/7
The Center for Jewish Studies will host an Open House where information about the new minor in Jewish and Israel Studies, the Hebrew Program and our upcoming events and courses will be discussed. Prospective students will get the opportunity to meet faculty and other students who have declared the Minor. We would be delighted if you and your friends can join us.

Peer Technology Specialist Position Available
Student Academic Resources (SAR) is seeking to hire a student to join our team of Peer Technology Specialists. If you have an aptitude for learning using digital tools and technologies, an interest in helping others navigate a wide variety of digital tools, and the ability to demonstrate and train others on the use of various technology programs, we encourage you to apply! The student will be hired and trained to join our current Peer Technology Specialists to work throughout this academic year.
Among other things, the Peer Technology Specialists will work on:
- Coordinating campus-wide outreach to increase awareness of digital tools and technologies available
- Organizing workshops and meeting with individuals who are interested in various technologies and/or digital tools, in order to assist them with exploring programs, learning how to use them, and providing referrals as needed
- Researching, and seeking campus input on, new technology initiatives

M is for Math Jam!
What is Math Jam?
Math Jam is an additional resource for students taking introductory math classes that is intended to complement the Math Workshop, CA sessions, or a professor’s office hours.
Where can I find Math Jam?
Math Jam is located in the Vanguard Lounge of the Center for African American Studies Building (343 High Street). The sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8 – 9:30 pm.
Why Math Jam?
Community + Practice = Success!
At Math Jam, space is available for students to come on their own, or in a group, to work on homework sets, study for exams, and find new study partners. Experienced tutors are on-site, ready to answer questions and review concepts as they arise.
